Tonight’s sunset over Richmond Hill.
Save Captain John
Captain John owes a lot of money in taxes and other fees to the City of Toronto. The city has shut down his floating restaurant and he has since been trying to find a buyer to take it off his hands. He’s had a few nibbles, but the city keeps snipping the line.
Filaments
Vehicles pass by the foot of Yonge Street, the longest street in the world, where it meets Queens Quay.
New Heights
Construction workers climb scaffolding erected between two new condo buildings on Queens Quay, east of Yonge Street.
Toronto at Night
A shot of the CN Tower and parts of downtown Toronto at night.
Flying into the Sun
While shooting pictures of the sun through a Lunt solar ‘scope, this commercial airliner just happened to pass right in front of it. I actually snapped this by accident, and didn’t realize the plane was there until afterward. Part of me wishes I had clicked the shutter about one second later, so the plane was in the middle of the sun, but another part of me thinks it’s kinda cool right where it is.
Bike Lock
A bike lock remains attached to rings at Canada’s Sugar Beach. There was no bike in sight.
No Smoking at Sugar Beach
A laker unloads sugar at the Redpath refinery in Toronto, adjacent to Canada’s Sugar Beach.
Tower on a Hilltop
The CN Tower and some condos on Yonge Street are partially hidden by a grassy hill at Canada’s Sugar Beach in Toronto.
One Foggy Evening
A small park in Richmond Hill on a very foggy evening in May.
