Went to a pre-season Toronto Maple Leafs game a few weeks ago (they won, amazingly) and before the game started I climbed up next to the CBC cameraman and snapped a few frames. This panorama is made from five separate exposures, stitched together in Adobe® Photoshop®.

I used to see caterpillars all the time as a kid, but haven’t seen any in years. Found this furry little fella at Puck’s Farm, northwest of Toronto, a couple of weeks ago.

This is, by far, the ugliest bird I have ever seen. For that reason alone, it seems appropriate to post its picture on Hallowe’en. Safe trick-or-treating, everyone.
One of these things is not like the others…
Sometimes you see the oddest thing in the oddest places. This red pepper, in a plastic bag, was sitting just outside the front door of my office building, in downtown Toronto.
I recently acquired a Sony A100 that has been modded to shoot infrared. The obvious advantage over using a filter like the Hoya R72 is that I can put any lens on the A100 and shoot like I would with a normal DSLR. This bench is at the top of a hill overlooking part of Mill Pond, in Richmond Hill. I’m still learning about infrared photography, but I think this is pretty good for my first time out.
