There is a growing movement in the UK against Section 44 of the Terrorism Act, which allows police to stop and search anyone ‘without suspicion of wrongdoing.’ Photographers, both amateur and professional, have been especially singled out, it seems, and so yesterday they staged a huge rally in London’s Trafalgar Square.
No, I wouldn’t want to be out on that water either.
These miniatures usually look their best when the subject is on a 30 to 45 degree downward angle from the camera. However, I think this one, showing a small eating area upstairs at a grocery store, turned out pretty well.
A few people at work were talking about this boat recently, and I remembered I had this picture in my archives. The City of Toronto’s fireboat is called the Wm. Lyon Mackenzie, and in the winter is breaks the ice in Toronto’s inner harbour so the ferry can serve the island residents.
