While two astronomers are seen here discussing what one has just observed through the telescope’s lens, in real life astronomers very rarely do this. Images are today relayed through computers and viewed on screens rather than through these lenses.

Painted Face
This is a shot from last summer, taken during a street festival around Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market. This woman was getting her face painted and I raised my lens initially to get a shot of the artist. But this woman turned her head and smiled just as I zoomed in so I snapped her instead. ‘Did you just take my picture?’ she asked. ‘Yup’, I said, and moved on.
